Excellent. Outstanding! I am very impressed at how simple the installation is/was. - the DIY Energy Star 24K unit puts out a ton of heat or air conditioning. Oh, and the exterior compressor wall mount worked better than expected.

Only dislike was the line set was hard to get bent to hook up with the outside unit, everything else was pretty easily installed. Love the Wi-Fi enabled thermostat. Would definitely purchase again!!!! This was my first HVAC install.

Me and my 16 year old son installed the unit ourselves. Taking our time as this is our first install, it took about 16 hours or so. Only difficult part was installing the line set through the PVC tubing under the concrete slab. Good operating unit so far, 0 degree weather next week so we shall see how well it functions in those conditions......

Watching the videos on installation were very helpful and things went relatively easy. Given the season I haven’t tried the AC yet, but sure is nice to have heat just in time for the cold.

Running line sets and drain tubes in an interior wall is harder than just going outside directly and I recommend doing it with unfinished walls on the back as I had to cut out sheetrock, and then you need 6 inch studs to cut out a path for the lines, power, and drain tube which needs to run downhill until you reach the exterior wall. Given that, it went well and I was able to install 2 heads and wire everything up and get it working in a couple days. The one issue I had was connecting the power as the terminals are very small and if you run a 8 gauge wire it will never fit, and even 10 gauge is near impossible. That should be re-engineered to make for easier connections. The terminals are fine for the head wires, but I don’t know why they were covered with a soft plastic cover which i had to cut off to connect. Other than that, it saved me a lot of money and they are working well. I will connect my third head unit later in a work room that I’m not using much and is passively heated. I gave a 5 star but because of the issues above I would have preferred 4.5 stars. Dealing with MRCOOL DIY Direct was easy and they were helpful.
